Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will fly today to Geneva where world powers are holding talks over Tehran's nuclear programme, Russian agencies said.
"The chief of the foreign ministry (Lavrov) is flying out to Geneva to participate in the six-party talks on Iran's nuclear programme," a foreign ministry official was quoted by agencies as saying.
"It is also possible he will meet with United Nations and Arab League Special envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi," the official was quoted as saying.
Russia and the United States are currently working with Brahimi to set a date for a long-delayed peace conference on Syria which is also slated to take place in Geneva.
