Rutuja, who is playing her first professional event after returning from playing in the US College tennis, made most of the opportunity given by the organisers to stop the winning run of left-handed Ramya Natarajan of Tamil Nadu 6-3 7-6(6) in 1 hour and 28 minutes in today's semi-finals here.
Rutuja has the chance to complete a double crown after reaching the doubles final partnering Kanika Vaidya.

In the final they would clash against the Indo-China pair of Pranjala Yadlapalli and Xiaoxi Zhao who toppled top seeds Snehadevi Reddy and Rishika Sunkara 7-5 6-3 in the other semi final.
