South Africa today welcomed the best foreign pavilion award it received for the second consecutive time at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi.
"This is a great achievement considering that 28 foreign countries were participating. We are all proud of this award as it shows that our exhibition has been pitched at the right level," South African Deputy Minister of Small Business Development Elizabeth Thabethe said.
"It also means that the quality of the products being exhibited in our stands has created a good impression among the judges and the visitors," she said.
Thabethe led a business delegation consisting of 34 South African crafters who participated in the exhibition.
The minister lauded the warm reception with which the Indian government and the organisers of the fair welcomed the South African delegates and the high status it accorded to them as partner country at the 34th IITF.
