Saadhus agitate against 'ordinance' to take over temples

Religious leaders from various parts of Madhya Pradesh today parked themselves outside Kamla Park here and started a 'havan', saying it was a protest against an ordinance to take control of temples which they claimed the state government was going to bring soon.
"We have learnt that government is brining an ordinance to acquire the land of temples whereupon district collectors will run the show at the temples," said 'Computer Baba', one of the religious leaders present.
"We can't accept it. We will sit here till tomorrow. The saadhus need assurance from the BJP government in the state or they will be left with no option but to leave for Uttar Pradesh where they will campaign against the party (in the ongoing elections)," he warned.
