"Smartphone sales are booming and we have seen similar trends in our user base. There has been a 3 times increase in streaming on our platform and this will only grow as more people come online," Saavn Global Chief Operating Officer Mahesh Narayanan told PTI.
Talking about the new app for the recently launched Windows 10 operating system, Narayanan said Windows leads the market for desktop operating systems with more than a billion PCs running on it today.
"With Saavn now coming on Windows , we will have a much larger audience of desktops and tablets. Using the app, consumers will have access to over 10 million tracks across 11 languages," he said.
