Praveen Kumar, Kumar's personal secretary, was detained from the Delhi Secretariat this morning. He was then taken to Sultanpuri police station for questioning and confronted with Sandeep for ascertaining the facts of the matter, a senior police officer said.
"Praveen was as an upper desk clerk in the Accounts and Audit Department but after Sandeep became a minister, he brought him on deputation and appointed him his personal secretary," the officer said.
Sources said police suspected that the "objectionable" CD was leaked by Praveen.
During questioning by police, Sandeep had claimed he was innocent and alleged that Praveen had "tried to blackmail" him and "threatened to harm his public image".
