Sacrifice will not go in vain: Maha Governor on Uri martyrs

Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao today paid rich tributes to the martyrs from the state, who laid down their lives in the terrorist attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a condolence message to the families of the martyrs from Maharashtra, the Governor said, "All the jawans who lost their lives in the terrorist attack at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday are martyrs for the nation and the whole of India, and particularly Maharashtra, is proud of them."
"I want to state that their sacrifices will not go in vain. I am sure the youth of Maharashtra will draw inspiration from the sacrifices of the martyrs and come forward to fight for the nation.
"Maharashtra is fortunate in having a distinguished tradition of producing patriots and brave soldiers for the nation and I am sure, it will be continued in the future also. This is a moment of utmost grief for the families of the martyrs. On behalf of the people of Maharashtra, I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and assure them that the nation will stand by them," the Governor said.
