An incident of sacrilege has come to light in the district where a shopkeeper found torn pages of a holy book in Daulatpura Ucha village.
Police said today that a shopkeeper found torn pages of the religious book lying on the road when he was opening his shop.
"Police visited Daulatpura Ucha after they were informed about the desecration," said SSP Snehdeep Sharma.
"A special investigation team has been formed to probe the incident," he said.
"A dog squad was also pressed into service," Sharma said, adding "police force has also been deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident".
