"Earlier, names of SAD ministers had come in drug racket. Now names of leaders from its ally BJP have also come up likewise. There is an alarming situation in Punjab on drugs," Ahmed the AICC general secretary said.
Talking to reporters at the residence of Punjab Congress' general secretary Joginder Singh Mann here, Ahmed argued that not only Sharma but also the state BJP leadership should come clean of the matter.
"Badal family was less of rulers but more of businessmen," Ahmed alleged.
Ahmed declared that Congress will go to 2017 polls in Punjab on the issues of "extreme mis-governance and criminal misconduct" of SAD-BJP government.
He claimed that both Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa and MP Amarinder Singh were on the same page on basic party matters although there were certain differences of opinion between the two on small issues.
