The party leaders, at the meeting, said masses were disenchanted with the ruling SAD-BJP combine and the Sanjha Morcha, of which SAD (L) is a constituent, had a chance to put up a good show in the LS polls in Punjab.
If the Aaam Aadmi Party could give a jolt to established political parties in the Delhi elections, the Sanjha Morcha too could make electoral gains at the hustings, they said.
The meeting was presided over by former Governor and SAD(L) supremo Surjit Singh Barnala who is also patron of the Sanjha Morcha, an amalgam of different political outfits.
After consulting all the constituents of the Morcha, which includes former Punjab Minister Manpreet Singh Badal-led PPP, he said he would convene a meeting of the the Morcha within a week to finalise strategy for Lok Sabha polls.
Barnala said the Sanjha Morcha would hold a political conference on the eve of annual Maghi fair at Muktsar on January 14.
