"Adiyogi: The Source of Yoga", published by HarperCollins India, will hit book stands on February 24.
"Shiva or Adiyogi does not spell religion," says Sadhguru.
"Shiva spells responsibility - our ability to take our very life process in our hands. To make our lives effective in any sphere of life, we turn to science and technology. But when it comes to well-being, we turn to belief, to fanciful philosophies and ideologies.
"He lived 15,000 years ago. But today, finally, the world seems ready to embrace the highly refined, non-sectarian science of yoga he offered. The human intellect has developed to the point where it is ready to embrace this science," Sadhguru says.

"The aim of this book is to bring Adiyogi to the people as he does not belong to the past. He belongs to the future," he adds.
Says Debasri Rakshit, Senior Commissioning Editor for the Harper Element imprint at HarperCollins India, "This extraordinary book is a tribute to Shiva, the Adiyogi, by a living yogi.
"Here science and philosophy merge seamlessly, so do myth and history, the real and the symbolic -to capture Shiva as 'that which is not', the primordial emptiness at the centre of existence, 'yoga' or union with which is ultimate knowing and liberation. Phenomenal in its scope, this book will reverberate through the annals of history for years to come.
