Sage held for raping teenage girl in UP

A sage has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girlat Kailen Puri here, police said today.
SHO of Purkazi police station, Charan Singh, said the girl, kidnapped on November 3, was released from the clutches of Anand Das alias Sanjiv Sharma from Ahmadnagar (Maharashtra).
Both of them were brought here yesterday and the ascetic has been booked under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of IPC and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, he said.

Meanwhile, Bhura claimed to the police that Saurabh is an Indian Army jawan posted at Pathankot and had come here on holidays, SP (Rural) Tiwari said.

He said the police are trying to confirm if Saurabh is actually an Indian Army jawan.
He also said no arrest in the case has been made so far.
