Sage, 36, was found dead in his Los Angeles home and the details surrounding his death are still unclear. His attorney George Braunstein now claims that the budding filmmaker was planning to marry his girlfriend, reported E! online,
"He was very creative, energetic and very full of life. We were just joking about how he was going to get married and have a fun marriage. There was nothing dark or depressing, no problems, certainly no financial problems," Braunstein said.
TMZ reports that Braunstein's claims are different from what law enforcement sources say.
Braunstein said that he saw Sage uploading pictures on Facebook 17 hours before his death but law enforcement sources claim Sage was dead for a minimum of three days and possibly as long as a week before his body was found.
Braunstein also claims that Sage didn't drink but law enforcement sources said his room was littered with various items, including empty beer cans.
