The celebration would also commemorate the 60th years of the Akademi and constitute of events such as writers meet on March 10, a samvatsar lecture by eminent scholar Asis Nandy and 'face to face' where the scholars will be in conversation with the Sahitya Akademi Award winners of 2014, said a statement.
It is also organising a programme on the occasion titled 'purvottari' to provide a national platform to the writers and scholars from the Northeast region on March 13 and 'spin-a-tale', a programme specially designed for children with story telling and poetry writing competition.
