Former minister and Handwara MLA, Sajad Lone, Friday said his party - the Peoples Conference - will contest the upcoming local body polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Peoples Conference will take part in the upcoming elections. But given the rules we unfortunately won't have a common symbol," Lone wrote on Twitter.
While the NC, the PDP and the CPI(M) have decided to boycott the polls, the Congress and the BJP have said they would contest the elections which would take place from next month.
