Salman-Ali's sweet homecoming message for 'desi girl forever' Priyanka

Superstar Salman Khan and director Ali Abbas Zafar today welcomed actor Priyanka Chopra who has joined the cast as the leading lady of their forthcoming film "Bharat", saying India was eagerly waiting for her to return.

The 35-year-old actor, who moved to New York for the TV series "Quantico" and made her Hollywood debut with "Baywatch", will star opposite Salman in the film.

As he welcomed Priyanka, Salman joked Priyanka should be ready as the movie was in Hindi.

"#Bharat... Welcomes you back home @priyankachopra. See you soon... By the way humari film Hindi hai ;) . @atulreellife @aliabbaszafar #Eid2019," he wrote on Twitter.

To which Priyanka, who hails from Bareilly city in Uttar Pradesh, gave a sassy reply that she will forever be a "desi girl" (song from her movie "Dostana") wherever she goes.

The actor duo will be teaming up after 10 years, after having worked in films such as "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", "Salaam-E-Ishq" and "God Tussi Great Ho".

Ali, who has previously worked with the actor in "Gunday", tweeted, "Swagat hai aapka @priyankachopra #Bharat ki mitti aur hawa ko apka intezaar hai ;) (Welcome. The soil and air of India awaits your arrival)."
