Mendes, 48, directed the Tony-winning musical 'Cabaret' for Roundabout in 1998. He will return to Studio 54 to helm a 'Cabaret' revival starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams, reported Variety online.
The star-studded tribute to Mendes will include performances by Ethan Hawke, Bernadette Peters, Marc Shaiman, Alan Cumming, Brian d'Arcy James and Aaron Krohn as well as appearances by Helen Mirren, Jeremy Irons, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cynthia Nixon, Kathy Bates, Dylan Baker and Richard Easton.
The event will be held on March 10 at Gotham's Hammerstein Ballroom.
