Samba district in J-K gets over Rs 68 cr plan for 2013-14

Jammu and Kashmir government today approved a sum of over Rs 68 crore for Samba district under annual plan for the current fiscal.
District Development Board, Samba, met under chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and approved the Rs 68.72 crore annual plan for 2013-14, an official spokesman said.
The plan includes Rs 23.89 crore as revenue and Rs 44.83 crore as capital component, he informed.
"Do not compromise on quality while achieving targets under different development programmes," Chand told officials present at the meeting and added, staff shortage in different departments in the district would be met at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Board unanimously recommended inclusion of border areas in backward area category, one time compensation to refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971, besides compensation to border people whose land have been acquired for defence purposes, the spokesman said.
