Union minister and Punjab BJP chief Vijay Sampla today slammed AAP's Punjab convenor Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi over his accusation that SAD-BJP and Congress have established a "political collusion" in the wake of upcoming assembly polls.
"Just can't stop laughing over his ridiculous statement and at the same time feel sorry for him," Sampla said here.
"Ghuggi has forgotten that when AAP leaders sat on a similar dharna in front of the CM's residence, the Chief Minister not only arranged refreshments, but even invited them home by plying special buses, talked to AAP leaders and accepted their indent," he said.
The AAP, yesterday, called the Congress party's three-day sit-in protest in front of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's official residence "stage-managed" and alleged that it had "further established the political collusion" between the party and the ruling SAD-BJP combine in poll-bound Punjab.
Sampla instead questioned AAP's "inaction" against former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit against whom the party had levelled corruption charges before coming to power.
"Ghuggi seems oblivious of the fact that his party joined hands with that party in Delhi, whose chief minister Sheila Dixit was accused by them of being corrupt," he said.
"After coming back in power, they failed to take any action against Dixit. Ghuggi should ask his national convener, Arvind Kejriwal as to why such generosity was showered upon her. He will come to know that Congress has a deal with AAP, not Akali-BJP combine," he added.
