The award would be presented on March 7, 2018 by "Construction Industry Development Council" (established by Planning Commission, now NITI Aayog, Government of India and the Construction Industry), an official release said here today.
Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra, a dream project of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is a world class public building for convention activities, it said.
It has been constructed by state's Building Construction department.
Department's Principal Secretary Chanchal Kumar said that this is a proud moment for the entire team of Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra, the release said.

The symbolic structure encasing Bihar's glorious tradition and culture stands at a majestic height of 32 meters, the release said.
The Dwar is taller than the Gate way of India (Mumbai) and is a uniqe example of eclectic architecture, it added.
This award is evaluated on different parameters like least time and cost overrun, engagement of new/innovative techniques, quality of manpower engaged including engineering/management /skilled construction workers, the release said.
