The company, which launched its first Tizen smartphone Z1 in January this year, had sold one million devices within six months of launch.
"We have incorporated new features like Ultra Data Saving mode, which offers up to 40 per cent mobile data savings. This coupled with Ultra Power Saving mode makes Z3 easily the most efficient smartphone," Samsung India Vice President Marketing (IT and Mobile) Asim Warsi said.
"We had sold one million units of Z1 within six months of its launch. We hope to reach that milestone with Z3 in a much shorter time," Warsi said.
The device also features Mix Radio, a music streaming service offering access to a catalogue of over 30 million songs.
