Samuel L Jackson will appear at least 25 years younger for the most part of upcoming superhero film "Captain Marvel".

The revelation was made by Marvel Studio's president Kevin Feige who said the 69-year-old actor and his co-star Clark Gregg from "The Avengers" will look younger and different from their real-life selves in the Brie Larson-fronted superhero film.

In an interview with Slashfilm, Feige said they would be applying the same de-aging technology to Jackson and Gregg which they used to make Michael Douglas and Robert Downey Jr look younger in the films "Ant-Man" and "Captain America: Civil War", respectively.

"I think having the option is pretty amazing. And I think having the technology and even without spoiling anything, Sam Jackson is shooting a movie for us right now ('Captain Marvel') that takes, where he's entirely 25 years younger the whole movie," he said.

"And Coulson (Gregg). So that'll be the first one where it's a character for the whole movie, as opposed to a glimpse at a certain period of time. It's the whole movie. So it's possible, assuming that works. It's possible," he added.

Set to release on March 8 next year, the film also features Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto and Jude Law, among others.
