Sandakphu witnesses season's first snowfall

Sandakphu, the highest point in West Bengal, and Phalut Tonglu witnesses the season's first snowfall today.
The Queen of the Hills, Darjeeling, has been witnessing less sunshine and more of the biting cold and drizzle.
Meteorologists said that it was the 'first snow of this season in Sandakphu and a delight for tourists flocking in from far and wide'.
Residents of Darjeeling said it was too cold and the winter seems to be cooler than last year's.
The chill in the air is growing and the use of heaters and fireplaces has already started in government offices as well as individual houses.

Warm woollen clothes, sipping a hot tea, playing games like the chungi and macha-kara, and badminton to warm up are a few remedies for the extreme cold that has gripped Darjeeling right now.
