Sandalwood tree stolen from police station in Coimbatore

In a daring act, a full-grown sandalwood tree was allegedly chopped and taken away from the premises of a police station in the district, police said today.
The incident came to light this morning, when police personnel who reached Komangalam station for duty, were shocked after they noticed one of the two sandalwood trees in the backyard cut and taken away.
The 15-feet long portion was cut from the tree, police sources said adding investigations are on.
