After senior IAS officer Chetan B Sanghi wrote to Home Ministry that he was pressured to name a "certain VIP", BJP today said that Sanghi had "exposed" the Delhi Chief Minister's "low-level" politics and Kejriwal had now "fallen into his own trap".
Sanghi, a Principal Secretary in the Vigilance Department, who is now on leave, has written about the alleged pressure in a letter to Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi.
"The AAP government has been acting out of political malice to malign his (Jaitley) image. What the officer has said has vindicated our stand and exposed Kejriwal's low level politics. It was all part of a conspiracy to deflect the focus from his principal secretary facing corruption charges," BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
Instead of doing what he was voted for, the BJP media cell head said, the Delhi CM was busy clashing with the LG and the Centre for one reason or another.
