Carrying the message "Bring back Sanjay Joshi to save BJP", posters of party's former national general secretary today surfaced in several parts of the city.
Posters of Joshi, who is considered a bete noir of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were put up by unknown persons at around 20 places in the city.
The posters were also seen in Prabhat chowk which comes under the Ghatlodia Assembly seat of Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and on the Darpan cross road under Naranpura constituency of BJP chief Amit Shah.
Apart from these places, the posters can be seen hanging near Gujarat University, Gurukul and Shivranjani cross roads areas.
Each poster carries Joshi's photo, BJP party symbol lotus and a common message in Gujarati, which reads -"Bring back Sanjay Joshi to save BJP".
It is believed that these posters were put up during night and spotted by city dwellers this morning.

While no one has claimed the responsibility behind this act, the state BJP unit remained silent and refused to comment on the issue.
These posters emerged at a time when BJP is doing 'introspection' about their debacle in recently held district and taluka panchayat polls.
After Patel took over the reigns from Modi last year, these elections were considered as an acid test for her.
This is not the first time when such posters have emerged in the city, as his supporters have done that in the past too.
Joshi, a full-time RSS pracharak, has been sidelined from the BJP since last many years. His rivalry with Modi is well known.
