"While the horrendous case of atrocity on a girl in Delhi has united the entire nation but not one minister of the ruling SAD-BJP coalition government in Punjab has raised their voice against the atrocities meted out towards womenfolks in the state," Manpreet Singh Badal, whose party People's Party of Punjab is part of Sanjha Morcha, told reporters here.
"People of Punjab cannot forget the brutal killing of a father while saving modesty of his daughter (in Amritsar). Keeping this in focus, the Sanjha Morcha will launch a six-month long programme," Badal said.
He said the programme will be launched in March, immediately after the Moga by-election.
The PPP leader also took a dig at the Congress party for allegedly failing to perform its role of an opposition party in Punjab.
"Congress has consistently failed in taking on the misdeeds of the government and as such has failed in its performance," he said.
Sanjha Morcha comprises of PPP, SAD (Longowal), CPI and CPI(M).
