Sanofi India Q4 net profit rises 30% to Rs 120.2 cr

Drug firm Sanofi India today reported 29.94 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 120.2 crore for the fourth quarter ended December.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 92.5 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Sanofi India said in a BSE filing.
Standalone total income from operations of the company rose to Rs 568.7 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 511.9 crore for the same period a year ago.
In a separate filing, Sanofi India said its Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 25 per equity share of Rs 10 for the year ended December 31, 2015. An interim dividend of Rs 18 per equity share of Rs 10 had been paid in August 2015.
The Board has recommended a "special one-time dividend of Rs 14 per equity share of Rs 10 arising from the profit on the sale of the company's commercial premises in Mumbai," it added.
It also suggested a special one-time Diamond Jubilee dividend of Rs 8 per share of Rs 10, as the company will complete sixty years from its incorporation on May 2, 1956, Sanofi India said.
"The interim dividend, proposed final dividend, special one-time dividend (from profit on sale of the commercial premises) and the special one-time Diamond Jubilee dividend will together amount to a distribution of Rs 149.7 crore (excluding dividend distribution tax), it added.
Sanofi India shares today closed 0.46 per cent down at Rs 4184.70 apiece on the BSE.
