Directed by Vinod Mankara, the period film on the life of 17th century Keralaite poet-scholar Unnayi Warrier, has been selected for a number of prestigious movie galas.
"The movie will be screened in various international film festivals to be held in the country, including at Chennai, Pune and Jaipur, this month," Mankara said.
The movie had opened the panorama section of IFFI in Goa and the Third Eye Asian Film Festival at Mumbai last year, he said.
"Adi Shankaracharya" (1983) and "Bhagavad Gita" (1993), directed by G V Iyer, are the only movies ever made in Sanskrit before.
