In a major reshuffle at the IPS level, the Odisha government on Monday changed the portfolio of 39 police officers including Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Satyajit Mohanty.
Mohanty, an IPS officer of 1988 batch, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Director General of Police in charge of prisons and Director Correctional Service, a notification issued by the home department said.
Director of State Crime Record Bureau and 1990 batch officer Sudhansu Sarangi has been posted as the new commissioner of police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
IGP, State Armed Police Amithab Thakur has replaced ADG R P Koche as the new chief of the Operation to deal with Left Wing Extremism situation in the state.
Koche has replaced Sanjeeb Panda and been given the charge of Additional DG of Police, Law and Order. Panda was posted as the Transport Commissioner.
Mahendra Pratap has been posted as Director, Printing Press and Stationary, Odisha, Cuttack. Rajesh Kumar has been appointed as Director, State Crime Record Bureau. Ashish Kumar Singh has been posted as DIG of Police.
IG central range Soumendra Priyadarshi has been trasnferred and posted as IGP, personnel.
