Saria prices fall on reduced offtake

Saria prices fell by Rs 500 per tonne at the local steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slowdown in constructions activity due to adverse weather conditions.
Traders said reduced offtake by stockists following slowdown in constructions activity due to adverse weather conditions mainly led to the fall in saria prices.
In the national capital, kamdhenu-8-mm, 12-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 48,300, Rs 46,900 and Rs 45,900, while saria 16-25-mm traded lower by the same margin to Rs 46,500 per tonne, respectively.
The following are today's quotations per tonne:
Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm 48,300, 10-mm 46,900, 12-mm 45,900, 16-25 mm 46,500
Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,800, 10 mm 45,500, 12-mm 44,700, 16-25 mm 44,900.
