Satarupa Pyne excited for Bhandarkar's 'Calendar Girls'

Kolkata girl Satarupa Pyne says her Bollywood debut "Calendar Girls", in which she plays one of the female leads, gives a sneak peek into the world of modelling.
"I am playing Bong beauty Paroma Ghosh, who is one of the crucial leads," said Satarupa, who has now shifted base to Mumbai.
"Madhur Bhandarkar's sole attempt always involve the subject of women power, same with 'Calendar Girls'. I feel extremely lucky to get the chance to play one of his leading powerful women," she said.
In the film, the model meets her former lover and is coaxed by him to participate as an important guest of the IPL cricket league.
Recalling the day when she walked into Bhandarkar's office for the first time, Satarupa said, "I felt that he was watching how I walk in, how I sit, how I conduct a conversation. And his brief was just be 'What you are and don't become anybody else'."
About the Mauritius leg of the film's shooting, the actress said, "We were shooting our song sequences. I am the one, who got to shoot in the jungles with real tigers.
Praising her director, Satarupa said, "The space that Madhur Bhandarkar will give you can literally spoil you.
