The report was e-mailed to the ministry, hours after a second medical medical examination of the two women, who were rescued from the diplomat's apartment on Monday night, confirmed rape and sodomy, said Rajesh Chechi, ACP (Crime) of Gurgaon Police.
He said the "detailed report" contained "elaborate description" of the sequence of events including the rescue of the two women and registration of an FIR in the case.
The External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson confirmed receiving the report. It is understood that the Ministry will initiate follow up action tomorrow based on the report.
"We are currently extracting the CCTV recordings from the apartment premises and the process is expected to take around 12 hours. Once the recordings are monitored, we shall be able to ascertain more details.

"Those details shall also be mailed to the ministry, if they ask for it," said Chechi, adding the report was sent to the MEA around 7.45 PM today.
In the report, the police maintained that it was unaware that the apartment belonged to a diplomat.
The two women were rescued from the diplomat's residence in Gurgaon on Monday night.
