Saudi firm enters Guinness book for making largest tea bag

A tea firm in Saudi Arabia has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for manufacturing the largest tea bag in the world that can serve 100,000 people at a time.
Rabea Tea, a product of Ahmed Mohamed Saleh Baeshen & Company has set a new world record by manufacturing 250 kg tea bag which is largest tea packing in the world till now. The height of the pack is 4 meters in height and 3 meters in wide and can to prepare as many as 100,000 cups of tea, Saudi Gazette said.
The brand was chosen by a certified adjudicator from Guinness World Records during an event held at in Jeddah, who landed from New York for this occasion, the newspaper said.
The bag is scheduled to tour Saudi Arabian cities of Riyadh and Dammam. The company decided to donate the tea bag to charitable organisations.
The product is blended and packaged at the company's factory in Jeddah, which is equipped with a tea laboratory aimed to maintain the level of quality and taste, in addition to innovations related to blending, filling and packaging.
"It brings us utmost joy and pride for everyone working with us to partake in the launch of the full-leaf teabags alongside making history with our new world record achievement, reflecting positively on the commercial and industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia," Khalid Baeshen, chairman of the board of directors at AMS Baeshen & Co, the journal quoted as saying.
The idea of the Full Leaf Tea Bags was developed over more than a decade of R&D.
