SBI becomes the true leading bank poat Nov 8 situation

The State Bank of India proved to be true leading bank after Arunachal Pradesh was hit hard by November 8 demonetization by meeting almost 6000 customers' need in its seven branches at the state capital daily during last few days.
SBI AGM Rabin Pathak informed that the bank has adopted novel ways to reduce the demonetization impact as the people have been making long queues for hours together to exchange their old Rs 500 & Rs 1000 promissory notes to get new ones.
The SBI has been dispensing with Rs 2,000 currency notes in the Capital Complex since Wednesday at the ATMs at G-extension (Naharlagun) below SBI branch and Legi Complex, Civil Secretariat, police headquarters and near main SBI branch at Itanagar were made 24-hour operational on special arrangements.
Any individual can withdraw Rs 24,000 from savings bank account and Rs 50,000 from current account per week, the banker after delivering new notes would put indelible ink mark on the right hand index finger of the recipient to avoid the same person turning up twice.
