As of December, the SBI's portfolio quality declined with gross NPAs at 5.10 per cent of gross advances as against 4.90 per cent a year ago.
The gross Non-performing Assets (NPAs) in absolute terms, which represent portion of bad loans, stood at Rs 72,791.73 crore at the end of December, up from Rs 61,991.45 crore in the year ago period.
Besides chairman, the Bureau has three ex-officio members and an equal number of expert members.
Expert members are ICICI Bank's former joint managing director H N Sinor, Bank of Baroda's former CMD Anil K Khandelwal and rating agency Crisil's ex-chief Rupa Kudwa.
Its ex-officio members are Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Financial Services Secretary and RBI Deputy Governor.
