SC Commission asks Punjab govt to submit report

Punjab Scheduled Caste Commission today issued instructions to the Welfare Department of the state to furnish within 15 days the report on the complaints of fake SC certificates received by it.
Chairman of the Commission Rajesh Bagha said here today that they conducted a meeting with various departmental heads and considered the multiple issues of the Schedule Caste (SC) community.
Divulging further, he said that the police department has been directed as per the amendment in the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act to put up display boards at public places, police stations and government offices depicting information on how to easily contact the commission in case of need.
