SC Commission summons IG and DC Hisar to Delhi

National Scheduled Caste Commission has asked Inspector General of Police Hisar Range and Deputy Commissioner Hisar to be present at the Commission's office in Delhi tomorrow in connection with investigation into the Barwala firing incident where three dalit youths were killed.
Raj Kumar Verka, vice-chairman of the Commission told reporters here that he had directed both officers to report today at PWD rest house in Hisar, where a team had reached to probe the incident, but the duo not only failed to do so, but also didn't seek exemption.
SP Hisar Satheesh B Balan and Ashok Garg, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Hisar who met the team said SHO Sukhbir Singh of Barwala police station has been booked under Corruption Act for his alleged hobnobbing with land mafia.

Verka recommended to the state government to provide one government job to kin of the three victims and financial assistance to the bereaved families.
He also directed IG Police to prepare a report on the July 15 Barwala firing and submit it within a week.
