SC Commissioner for early rehabilitation of displaced people

Supreme Court Special Commissioner Justice Harsh Mander today sought early rehabilitation of displaced people of ethnic conflicts in Baksa and Kokrajhar districts and providing them night shelter along with other basic amenities.
Justice Mander called on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi here and requested him to set up special schools for the homeless children, CMO sources said.
The Chief Minister apprised Justice Mander about the steps taken by the state government to provide relief to displaced people housed in relief camps and efforts being made for their rehabilitation.
Supreme Court Commissioner on the Right to Food Case Dr Naresh Chandra Saxena, who also called on the Chief Minister, said that the Food Security Act must be implemented for ensuring respect, protection, and fulfillment of the right to food of the people.
