"How can you stay as a guest for 30 years? You withdraw this. We cannot allow this," a bench headed by Justice T S Thakur said, adding that if any relief is granted to Singh, then politicians will raise it.
The bench then asked Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Maninder Singh to come forward and suggest a way out. The ASG then agreed to the suggestion that the veteran lawyer be given eight weeks time to shift out of the place.
Singh has been living in the guest house, meant for the visitors of Members of Parliament, near the Parliament for almost 30 years.
Recently, the Urban Development Ministry had asked him to vacate the premises.
