The Supreme Court today agreed to hear tomorrow a plea seeking a direction to Delhi government to consider kids for nursery admission under the inter-state transfer category if their parents did not approach it.

The court, on May 7, had asked the Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi government to accommodate 24 students whose parents approached it under the inter-state transfer category and had made it clear that this benefit would be available only to them.

Senior advocate Vikas Singh mentioned the plea before a vacation bench headed by Justice J S Kehar and said that all similarly placed kids be treated equally. The petition would be heard tomorrow.

Earlier, the parents of 24 kids had moved the apex court against a DoE's February 27 notification to scrap five, out of 100 points, which were being awarded to children under the inter-state transfer category.

The court, which had set aside the DoE's decision, however, had made clear that only those who approached it, would get admission.
