The 'Hitchcock' star, who split from boyfriend Nate Taylor last month, looked intimate with the guy at New York's Beatrice Inn last week, reported Ace Showbiz.
"They were very lovey-dovey and holding hands under the table all night. They were holding each other while outside smoking in the cold.
"The man was dark-haired and slightly taller than her but skinny and he may have been speaking French at one point," a source said.
Johansson, who divorced Ryan Reynolds last year, was romantically linked to Sean Penn before she dated Taylor. Her relationship with Taylor ended when she was snapped getting intimate with former boyfriend Jared Leto at the Democratic National Convention.
