Scattered rain occurred in Delhi today, bringing down the mercury and offering respite to Delhiites from searing heat prevailing in the past few days.
The Safdarjung observatory, whose recording is considered official for the city, recorded 24mm rainfall since yesterday evening.
Areas under Palam, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Aayangar observatories recorded a rainfall of 29.9mm, 21.7mm, 10.8mm and 35.2mm respectively, said a MeT department official.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 21.8 degrees, six notches below normal.
Humidity level oscillated between 100 and 33 per cent.
The MeT office has predicted overcast conditions with a possibility of thunderstorm and rain for tomorrow.
"Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures had settled at 39.6 and 28.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
