Scattered rain in parts of Himachal

Some parts of Himachal Pradesh today received scattered rain as monsoons remained subdued many parts of the state.
Weather remained dry in most parts of the state for past three days though rain occurred at some places with Dharamshala recording a maximum of 55 mm rainfall, the MeT department said.
Bangana received 37 mm of rain followed by Kangra (35), Bhoranj (19), Nagrota Saurian (16), Kahu (15), Dehra Gopipur(13), Nadaun(12), Aghar(11), Berthin (10), Hamirpur (7), Kasauli (6), Bilaspur and Guler (5 each), it said.
The day temperatures stayed close to normal with Una was hottest with a high of34.4 degrees Celsius while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded maximum temperatures at 32.8 and 32.2 degrees Celsius followed by Solan (29.4), Dharamshala (28.6), Nahan (26.9), Manali (26.4), Kalpa (25) and Shimla (23.6).
However, the minimum temperatures dropped marginally in tribal areas with Keylong and Kalpa recorded a low of 9.5 degrees Celsius each while Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts settled at 10.4 degrees Celsius.
Manali recorded 12.6 degree Celsius followed by Dharamsala (16), Shimla (17.4), Palampur (18), Nahan (20.7), Bhuntar (21), Sundernagar (21.5) and Una (25.9), the department said.
The local MeT department has predicted rains or thundershowers at isolated places in mid and lower hills for five days from tomorrow onwards.
