Scattered rains fail to provide respite for sultry weather

Scattered rains today failed to provide the much needed respite to Delhiites from the sultry weather conditions.
Rains were witnessed in Palam (20 mm), Ayanagar (1.8 mm), Narela (10 mm), Pusa and Mungeshpur (both 2 mm) areas, MeT Department said.
Though rains brought the maximum temperature down to normal but failed to bring any respite from hot a humid conditions.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, which was normal for this time of the year.
The minimum temperature was at 25.2 degrees Celsius, which was a degree above the normal.
The humidity level was between 60 and 85 per cents respectively.
Delhi has witnessed a dry spell for the past few days.
The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rains or thunder showers.
