Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a state-owned coal mining company, has revived an old policy under which it can offer jobs to family members of existing employees under certain conditions.
According to a statement issued by the miner yesterday, jobs in SCCL will be offered on heredity basis for existing workers aged between 48 years and 59 years as on October 11, 2016 so that son, son-in-law or younger brother of that particular employee can apply for the job.
The successors should be in the age group of 18 to 35 years of age, it said after the Board discussed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's direction to the company on this issue.
"The Board has taken a decision to implement the policy which was shelved in 2002. The move would induce young blood into the organisation," the statement said quoting the chairman and managing director N Sridhar.
A senior official of the Hyderabad-based company said it is in the process of preparing the guidelines for the scheme.
