Scheduled Castes commission seeks report from PSEB Chairperson

Taking a suo motu cognisance of report published in a section of media regarding levying of fees from SC category students, Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission today sought a report from the Chairperson of Punjab School Education Board by November 29.
Chairman of the Commission Rajesh Bagha said the Dalit students of 10th and 12th standard were allegedly discriminated against in the matter pertaining to income limit.
He said no examination fees was levied on them during previous years.
In a release, he said the "infringement" with the rights of SC students would not be allowed because they are enshrined in the regulations and constitutional norms.
