The programme would be implemented in six cities for the academic year 2014-15.
It is a joint initiative of Conserve my Planet -- a hallmark programme within the Schneider Electric India Foundation -- and School Health Annual Report Program (SHARP), a non-government organisation.
"The launch has been marked with the capacity building programme for the selected 62 schools from 6 cities, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Haryana...," Schneider Electric India Foundation said in a statement.
Over 120 teachers deputed from esteemed school campuses would undergo a training on two modules on energy saving.

HLL outlet in Kochi
* Hindustan Latex Ltd (HLL) has opened 'Moods Planet', India's premium one stop exclusive retail showroom for condoms, in Kochi.
Moods Planet is a condom shop, set up by MOODS, a leading contraceptive brand in the premium segment in India and the top brand in Kerala. 'Moods' is a condom brand from the public sector HLL.
"The standalone store is less about selling condoms, and more about disseminating information. We want to personally connect with our customers and desensitise them about the taboo attached to purchasing condoms," said M Ayyappan, Chairman and Managing Director of HLL Lifecare Ltd (HLL).
Besides Kochi, Moods Planet has outlets at Thiruvananthapuram and Goa.
"Moods Planet recently opened an outlet in Goa. We are enthused by the increasing number of footfalls at the outlet," Ayyappan said, adding, such outlets would be opened in other metros as well.
