School building, mini-stadium inaugurated in east Delhi

A municipal primary school building and a 500-seater mini-stadium in it were today inaugurated at Dilshad Colony area in east Delhi.
The facilities were opened by East Delhi MP Maheish Girri in the presence of area's Mayor Satya Sharma and other senior EDMC officials.
East Delhi Municipal Corporation's area councillor Ram Narayan Dubey said the three-storey school building has been developed at a cost of Rs 4.70 crore in 18 months.
"The school has 45 rooms, a hall, three store rooms and two toilet blocks. The mini-stadium has been developed at a cost of Rs 60 lakh and it has seating capacity of 500," he said.
The mayor said, "EDMC provides free primary education which is availed mostly by those students who hail from low economic background. The stadium would attract students for taking up different sports at a young age.
