School girl dies after ragging by seniors in WB

Alleged ragging by seniors cost a class V student her life today at a nursing home where she was admitted last week in a state of trauma after being reportedly detained inside the toilet of a school in north Kolkata, family sources said.
Aindrila Das (11), her parents alleged, was "heckled and tortured" by some senior students of the school, situated at Dum Dum, for not paying them the money they wanted.
For this, the girl was locked in a toilet in the school for some time last week.
They claimed that an attendant of the school detected the student crying inside the toilet and took her home.

The parents alleged that the girl became so traumatised that she had to be admitted to a nursing home where she died today unable to get over the shock.
However, the police said that they were yet to receive a formal complaint from the family in this connection.
